We spend 30% of our after tax salary on our repayment mortgage.
If we were renting the same place, it would have been about 25% of our after tax salary.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
We currently pay 1/3rd of our joint take home pay for our rent. Would be quite a bit higher if we were paying a recently acquired mortgage on the same property."I've fallen down a hole" - said in best Monty Python voice-over.0

With the missus on just maternity pay we are shelling out 42% of our takehome on the mortgage.0

45%, London zone 1 in a 1 bed flat on my own. Was about 25% in a shared 3 bed house, but then i spent £210/m on the train and 2 hours a day travelling.0

I currently pay 20% of my take home pay (net) on rent (inclusive of all bills
) or 14% of my gross salary. Need to save all my pennies for a house deposit!
