Find Your Cheapest Local Petrol Prices
Options
This site launched on 5th October 2005. Once registered this site allows you to carry out 20 searches a week on unique areas or postcodes. The data is collected from fuel card users and allows you to find the cheapest fuel in your area. I was amazed to find an independent near to me cheaper than the supermarkets. The info is updated daily from 8000 sites around the country.

It's not accurate. It's telling me the cheapest in my area is 92.9p - I paid 89.9p yesterday and it's been that price since at least last Thursday.

Not sure about the different diesels - I use unleaded!! I expect the premiuim gives higher performance as with the different unleaded's. Can't comment on inaccuracy of prices - all the prices were correct in my area.0

Just used the site, and it seemed pretty good. I haven't been able to check the accuracy of the results for central London as yet, but will try to do that this weekend.
20 searches a week is more than enough for me, and there's also a email alert feature, where you can keep watch on prices at up to 3 postcodes. (options for daily/weekly/monthly updates)
Seems like the perfect replacement to petrolbusters finally!0 -

from the website it says:
"Many of the large petrol companies have launched 'super fuels' - petrols and diesels that have a higher research octane level. This can increase power in many vehicles, deliver less pollution than regular fuels and help to maintain a cleaner engine. Tesco will soon be selling Super Unleaded 99 Octane petrol, supplied by Greenergy, the highest octane level petrol available in the UK."0 -
I can't even register on the site as no scroll bars appear in Safari, so I can't complete the form!
I've found generally in my part of the world (south-east/central London) Sainsbury's at Nine Elms is significantly cheaper than anywhere else in London.0 -
Just a quick tip, I work in a BP garage and various tanker drivers have told us that Sainsburys and BP petrol is exactly the same, except Sainsburys is about 4p cheaper here and you get more nectar points!0
