Any news on the BarclayCard Flexi-rate card?

Read on This is Money that Barclaycard have launched yet another card which gives you a lower apr of 12.9% for paying more than the minimum amount. It's called Flexi-Rate and launched today.

I called BarclayCard asking if I could change my current card to this one, they had not even heard of it!

Those that only pay the minimum 2.5% are charged the full APR of 16.9%, while those that pay between 5.05% and 9.99% will be charged 12.9%. (Not quite sure what happens if you may more than 9.99%)

I won't be able to get one of the much lower ccs so this would be ideal for the time being.
