Problem with links. Help!

Whenever I click on a posted link, my PC freezes. I have to press Ctrl Alt Del and sometimes it freezes on that also. This happens also with links on another forum.
I have run a detailed security check on my computer but it all shows ok. Not that might have anything to do with it, but just in case. I have the latest Norton everything. Ok, Ok many of you hate Norton but I ain't changing it right now.
Any ideas?
