i have a tv point in the lounge, and want to also have a cable in both bedrooms. what would the best way of sharing the signal be? 3 way splitter in lounge and 2 long cables to bedrooms? or 2 way splitter into one bedroom then another to the next bedroom?

Each time that you insert a splitter you will lose more than half of the available signal, due to the insertion loss of the splitter. The correct way to do it is to insert a mains powered distribution amplifier e.g. here into the downlead from the aerial to your existing point in the lounge, usually in the loft. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
hi espresso
i live in a ground floor maisonette, i think the cable goes down the wall on the outside then straight in the lounge. so would i have to install this amp just off the socket in lounge?
i need new broadband soon, would i be better off getting sky, already have a dish. i know the roof aerial wont pick up freeview as i tried that recently.0 -

Yes that would probably be your only option then.

Best to check if Sky has LLU presence in your local exchange using this site here. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
