Having flown approx 25/30 times with this airline i have to say only once have i ever had a problem and that was with my IFE - it didnt work. I moaned to customer service and my miles were credited 15,000 miles. I fly mainly economy but have flown both PE and Upper class.
I have never experienced and trouble, attitude - 2 times that spring to mind, on a recent flight to San Francisco i asked the stewardess if she had any wipes because my eyes were dry. She lent me her personal bottle of Revitalise for my eyes.
Then on a flight to Orlando they brought ice cream round and it was Strawberry, i explained i was allergic but thanks anyway. A few moments later she had been to Upper Class and got me a tub of chocolate ice cream.
Its the little things like that that for me really do make Virgin stand out from the rest.
So i was just wondering, what problems have people had?

I flew upper class to NY and they were terrible. They were more concerned with serving people who had received free upgrades ( as they were off duty cabin crew). and they seated me and my OH on opposite sides of the plane - and we were travelling on our 1st wedding anniversary.....
Save me from spending...

After 40 hours getting from New Orleans to Newark courtesy of 2 broken Northwest Airlines planes and a union strike (compounded by being publicly ID'd by on-board staff when I asked for a beer and a check-in argument and my luggage being lost) I was re-routed on my first ever Virgin flight.
The staff had obviously heard about my disastrous attempts to fly Northwest i'd had and just after take off came up to me with 4 small bottle of brandy and a can of coke, and told me to I looked like I needed a drink (hadn't slept for a couple of days), let them know if I needed anything else, and to get a good sleep!
So have they my undoubted loyalty.
Trouble is, I only really fly to South-East Asia these days, so they don't really do my routes!
No complaints, sorry!0 -
Flown with Virgin 3 times and they have been excellent, which is far more than can be said for BA, and Air France (who I will never fly with again).0

I have flown with Virgin twice.
My first experience was ok, not great but nothing to moan about.
My second experience was crap. No other word for it. Four hour delay sat on the plane on the outbound flight. 'Guaranteed' an exit row seat then didn't get one. Crew couldn't care less. Prior to return flight offered lounge access and an exit row seat due to problems on outbound flight, but once at airport both were denied (I paid for an exit row seat). Also saw a very dodgy 'reduced price' upgrade situation, not impressed. Complained when I got home and received two bog standard replies.
There are other airlines that are just as good, if not a great deal better.Gone ... or have I?0 -
flown 20 or more times with them , never had any major grumbles really
once i got to check in and they didnt have the seats id requested, i kicked off and they sorted me an alternative i was happy with
as for complaining about delays..its just the way it is, id sooner be delayed than sent up in a unsafe aircraft , virgin has a good fleet of aircraft so theres a good chance of them having a replacement compared to some other airlines
theyre usualy cheapest economy for the long haul i need..cant expect 1st class service for peanuts imo0 -

Which route do you usually take?
I was not complaining about the delay. I was unhappy at the way that the delay was handled.Gone ... or have I?0 -
