My son who lives with us is on the normal rate of income support for a single man - will this amount change when he gets HRM AND HRC allowance.?

Do you mean DLA HRM and HRC?
In which case, he's probably getting £60 a week now, and would get an extra £28 ish (Disability Premium) if the DLA is awarded.
Maybe an Enhanced Disability Premium, but i've never been too hot on the conditions for that one, I'm sure someone else will clarify.0 -

Enhanced Disability Premium is paid to those on the highest rate of DLA care.0 -
Sorry real1314
"Yes" I did mean DLA High Rate and High Rate Care - he's only just been notified about it and we were wondering if the income support will increase.
If someone could point me in the right direction where all the info will be I would be very grateful

there's probably something on dwp.gov.uk, but all you really need to do is phone up the office that deals with his IS and let them know asap. They shoudl backdate any increase to the date DLA was awarded from if you let them know within 28 days of the date of the award notice afaik.0

Dont forget if there is someone who earns less than £95 per week and cares for your son for 35 hours or more per week then they can claim carers allowance which is around £50 per week, this only applies for mrc or hrc0
