gas & elec fixed rates
Hi All, can anyone help me with a fixed rate for gas & elec?
I've been on Moneysupermarket, and uswitch. Both recommend Scottish power for me, and quote a saving of £100+ p.a. - but when I actually look at the per KWh rates (taking into account the difference in standing charge) it's actually going to cost me 45% more!
The problem is that these comparison sites hide the actual per KWh or per unit prices and try to make it simple, but actually make it harder to compare!
Because we've only moved house in March, we don't have a really accurate monthly or annual cost to put in. We can only put in the monthly direct debit amount we've agreed with Southern Elec (our existing supplier) and we have no idea whether it's realistic or not. So the only way to properly compare is to compare standing charges and per KWhr or unit prices to our actual first bill.
So, can anyone recommend a site where I can find this info. Some of the individual providers do show rates, but others don't.
Thanks.
