Has anyone applied for or have a Catalyst homebuy 1st time buyer mortgage?
Apparently they advertised this in local press. The government buy half of your CHOSEN private property and you buy the other half. So you rent the other half from them and pay your normal mortage.
Sounds great as down south we need a joint mortgage of 60-70k to buy a 2 bed house here:eek:

www.moat.co.uk for if you live in Kent or Sussex. Word of warning tho, we were doing this but just got a letter through saying that Northern Rock (owner of the house we are trying to buy) refuse to give us a title guarantee which basically means we cant have this house now. Other owners may also say the same although I am not certain of this.0
