  • I was also looking at the comparison websites and things are not that clear. The capped prices are increases in tariffs and in my area I only have 3 companies offering capped services. B Gas, Eon and another (cant remember which). Have others experinced this limited number of offerings ?

I hadn't scrolled down to find the cubic feet convertor.

Thanks, especially for the roll eyes;)

Having now calculated he kwh for gas successfully (thanks) it is now clear where he problem lies:

The bill from EDF energy which my Dad receives, states that he has used an annual no. of units (assuming KwHs, but not 100% sure now) at a cost of 290 pounds. Can anyone give me an idea of whether this sounds right?

Entering this figure plus the correct KwH for the Gas gives an 'almost' accurate estimate of his current bill @ 630 (it's 680)

PS: I appreciate I must appear a complete plonker, but it is 15 years since I lived in the UK and had to deal with such things in the English language, and I just don't want my parents getting screwed with the price rises, as they cannot afford it.
