It depends on the specific product you are buying. It will say on the packaging or on the manufacturer's product data sheet, which will be available on t'internet.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0

What more can be said? What does it say on the side of the tin?0

chance of getting a tin is remote. i looked online at B&Q and found some, went to the store and I may as well have asked for marshmallows. not a clue. so anyone who has bought a tin of wickies or B&Q liquid DPC, how much did you need>0

Ok i've had a further look for you. I checked B&Q and wickes websites by searching on "liquid damp proof membrane" and both have suitable products but neither give coverage info.
So i did a google search on "synthaprufe" (common liquid DPC) and came up with this PDF document:
http://www.resapol.com/datasheets/Synthaprufe.PDF
Scroll to page 2:
For waterproofing applications : floors 1.7 Litres/square metre in total (based on 2 coats) and walls 1.5 litres/square metre in total (based on 3 coats).
Most of the "sheds" staff seem pretty clueless to be honest (apologies to those that arent!)...like my OH asked for insulation tape in Wickes and was sent to the loft insulation aisle - can see their logic i suppose!
