What the hell is that about?
(Answers in less than fifty words please!)Gone ... or have I?0 -
This is a person in trouble.
Can we try and help them please instead of making nasty remarks?
Mostly cheerful, you need to go to see the CAB (to see what your options are and about your benefits) and the Council (to negotiate a payment scheme). I'm sure you don't need to lose your home.
Try and calm down, stay positive (tranquilo as they say here in Spain). and I'm sure something can be sorted for you.
See the people mentioned above as soon as possible.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
I think you need to make an apopintment with the housing specialist at your local CAB. They will be aware of the local councils policies and will be able to explore the possibility of reduced payments or extending the repayment time.Free/impartial debt advice: Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) | National Debtline | Find your local CAB0

Maybe you could extend the life of your mortgage or have a charge put against the property (pays up if/when you sell)? But as Kimitatu says the CAB will have local knowledge. The things that you are scared of are the things we are all afraid off. Hope things seem a bit better today.0

I too should have worded my post about 'nasty comments' a little better as I don't think anyone was intending to be nasty.
I really meant that the OP was obviously feeling very vulnerable and upset so we need to be a little sensitive in how we say things.
Still, apology accepted by me and hopefully both our apologies by the OP.
I hope the OP manages to get the help he/she needs.(AKA HRH_MUngo)
