Villa Rental In Spain

Hi

We are thinking of going to spain next year for a holiday and are looking to rent a villa as we don't want another package holiday.

We have had a quick look on the web and there are hundreds of sites where you can hire villas but my question is, does anyone know of any reputable websites (preferable ones that you have experience of using) where we can check out the prices and villas available?

A friend of ours and his family , swear by james villas. They have told us time and time again how well run the company is and how good the villas are when they visit. It might be worth having a look at their website and see if the destination and prices fit in with what you are looking for. Think the website is https://www.jamesvillas.co.uk . Thanks for the web link. Unfortunately its not really what we are looking for, we are really looking for just Villa rentals, we will be sorting our own flights out, but thanks again.

It depends on what your requirements are. Do you want 'real' Spain rural or a big City? Or are you looking for a Costa Villa by the sea? This site maybe useful

It has chat room threads like MSE and I sometimes contribute, as I have friends that live in rural Spain (Andalucia), who I help in marketing their Villa (feel free to PM if you want some more info).
Holiday Rentals is good but can be a little time consuming as there's a lot of choice and on the high side price wise (the Villa owners have to pay Holiday Rentals for their inclusion to the site). Most of the Costa resorts have website or links either by the local tourist office or from Villa owners 'clubbing' together. Word of mouth is usually a good indicator and can be a better way of moneysaving (especially if you have a large number going or going in school hols).

Oh and don't forget the MSE flightchecker for booking your flights!

We used this company 3 times this year, twice I couldn't find flights cheaper and the third time I booked the flights separately and saved quite a bit. They don't mind at all if you sort out your own flights and/or car hire. You can get real bargains if you leave it till last minute and check their offers section. All the villas we hired were lovely and I'd certainly recommend the company. I've also checked ownersdirect.co.uk but found them in general to be more expensive.

If you want to put your own "package" together the ones I would suggest are:

https://www.holidaylets.net
and daltons [don't have their website address but a google search should find it].
Most on those links are private villa hire from the owners or smaller booking agents which will, generally, prove cheaper. Quite often, being private holiday homes, the quality is also better and the owners supply more info/photos etc than tour ops.

For flight I'd check with
https://www.cheapestflights.co.uk to see what's available with which operator/airline but then I'd check direct as I've certainly found it can be cheaper going direct to firms like
https://www.avro.co.uk or https://www.xl.com to name but 2.

costadelsolholiday.com have a couple of superb villas in Benalmadena. I used the 5 bedroom villa called Casa De Los Suenos in October. All went very smooth.

my friend has just come back from alora in the costa del sol and he said this place was fantastic, really big property with everything you could ask for,air con,own pool,views,british tv,dvd player and it was a very good price for what i saw on his photos...
