Help! Im making myself bankrupt!

Hi,
I'm pre-bankruptcy, have no bed, and no fees for BR. (Many options ive got to explore) I posted about credit before BR etc etc and got many private messages etc. My conclusion? We all go bankrupt for different reasons. My debt hasnt increased ( apart from charges) in the past 3 years but when I was incurring the debt, I think sometimes the debt in your mind is sooo huge and unmanagable that u basically think "**** it, im already screwed i may as well.... especially since ive lived on bread and butter and am wearing clothes that are falling apart". You are not alone on that and the OR will have seen it a thousand times before.
People with bi-polar disorder ('manic depression') often go bankrupt because of spending sprees associated with mania. There are people who go bankrupt after 1 week before buying sports cars! They'll have seen it all before.
I too have spent when considered insolvant... I ordered clothes on a catalogue after losing 2.5stone through stress, and was in the oldest cheapest holey clothes and depressed and bloody needed an outfit to go for a job interview.
Also im likely to be getting out a loan to go bankrupt (considered a big no no). The worst they can do is impose longer restrictions on you, I.E not discharge u after the normal first year. Be honest with them. Explain u convinced urself u could pay for the loan and the tv was a head-in-the-sand moment.
I'm dreading my OR interview because i had some excessive expenditure but at the time i thought i could afford it, and i was also clinically depressed and burying my head in the sand. But realistically... how many people havent? How many bankrupts do u think they see that aquired all their debt donating to poor kids in africa?
Give yourself a break, try not to worry. You cant punish yourself from the past. Who hasnt made a mistake? Whats the worst they can do? I really think they'll understand why... they are human.
Good luck, keep us updated.Debts incurred through illness and homelessness, starting a degree in September, going bankrupt in November and having a well deserved fresh start in January 2009! Bring on the new year! Interested in thrifty living, and if its green all the better for it! xxx0
