Just capped my elec/gas but got a better deal

Ok.. My gas bill with BG would be about £2300 a year but I just capped it with ScottishPower and will be about £300 more.

I went via CashBackKings and got £62 cashback so thats better then the £15 and the £30 or the crappy wine lol..

I used the checker and found the best deal and then went via CBK!

So in the end it cost me £20 more.

Worth it? Time will tell but you can get a good deal via a CASHBACK site then the switcher sites

CBK are paying

British Gas £60
ScottishPower £62
EON (Powergen) £50
EDF £0

£2300 a year for gas? You running a cooker or a fleet of Zepplins?

Have taken the plunge and opted for the Fixed Price Energy online NSC with Scottish Power costing me an extra 20%, so it had better be worth it!

I'm currently in credit by a fair amount so I wondered if I should let that dwindle before converting, but then I guess the offer wouldn't still be there by then.
My mantra is simple: If I don't help myself first, I shouldn't expect it from others. If I don't like something, I will change it. If I can't change it, I will learn to deal with it.

I accept responsibility for my own actions and my own situation. A sense of entitlement is not healthy and will only lead to consistent disappointment.

According to my comparison site results, Scottish Power seems to be the only dual-fuel capped rate left (none for gas-only at all).

But their reviews on moneysupermarket are so dreadful that it's scaring me off switching to them!

    Eric

I didn't look at the reviews as I'm already with them. After an initial hiccup when I swapped to them a few years ago, I haven't had any problems. After I spoke to them and swapped tariff, my DD has actually gone down because I'm in credit.

    So I'm quite happy. :j
