Yes, for Link Romania you wrap the whole box in one.

I've just called them and they've said marbles are ok as long as they're not too small. I suppose it's because they're a choking hazzard - whoops I've included small bits n bobs, but as they're family shoeboxes I'm assuming small children won't be opening the boxes alone.

    angie_baby I'm just the same!

    - went into partners today and they had felt tips and coloured pencils BOGOF. The felt tips and pencils are really quite cheap anyway - prices start at 49p for a pack of mini felt pens and around 80p for a pack of full size felt pens

    - I only needed the mini felt pens as have put coloured pencils into my boxes already - thought 4 packs for a pound was a fab offer :T

I'm struggling to find small colouring books at a decent price though - has anyone seen any good offers?

I've struggled with getting cheap cuddly toys (for under £1) and small colouring books - I'm going to print sheets off the internet. I'm sure in one of the shoebox threads someone mentioned cbeebies was good for that

Thanks Lizbeth - think I'll look for some I can print off then.

I was really lucky with the cuddly toys I got for my boxes - just after Christmas last year Tesco reduced theirs from nearly £2 to about 30p each, Clintons also had a clearance sale last month and had gorgeous small soft toys reduced from around £5 to 50p each (there are none left in my store but might be worth a look in yours?). I've also picked up soft toys for £1 in Asda in the past (this was full price not sale price).
    Hope this helps :)

Oooh that is a fab offer! Great find and would be perfect for any kiddies hampers anyone is doing.

Just quickly though if you have a home bargains near you I found a good quality colouring book in there which wasn't massive but also not tiny and it was about 39p so worth a look. Also have a look in poundstretcher as they sometimes have them although sometimes more expensive.

Failing that cbeebies has some great printables and you could get loads from there if you get stuck! I always used to print out loads for my son but at the moment he has hundreds of colouring books so haven't done it for a while!

If £1 is your limit on the teddies then have a look at asda on the toy aisle. I picked up some lovely ones which I use on my smaller nappy cakes and they are £1 each but sometimes on offer 3 for £2 etc.
    Heres a couple of pics.

  • I got colouring books for 25p each in Wilkos. They are about A4 size but fit into the shoe boxes fine.

I second the £1 toys in Asda, they are really cute and great for the price.

I got a set of 8 packs of metallic confetti for £1 in Poundland - I'm going to include a pack in each shoe box as both children and adults will love them!
