This week I purchased the Irecorder - this costs £99 and is supposed to record from TV to your ipod without the need of your PC
To cut a long story short, I tried it, gave up trying to get it to work after 20mins and then found it it had wiped my ipod clean!
I panicked big time!
Anyway I went to my computer and hoped that I would be able to sync my library to my ipod and it looked like it was working however once sync was complete and I checked my ipod - there was nothing there! Have done this twice now and still no files appear on my ipod despite it saying it has synced with my library
If someone could advise what i should do next I would be grateful as I have nearly 900 songs on there and I am praying that they aren’t all lost!

if your iPod is showing up in iTunes, you should be able to restore it back to its factory settings and then put your music back on it.

Just as an update to my post - i have done something where you seen the "hidden files" on your ipod and it appears my songs are all there ( however are titled up in random letters and numbers )
also when i plug in my ipod ( which is now apparently empty ) in to itunes it tells me straight away i have 15.90gb of "other" stored on my ipod!
* Also Marty - i may try your idea tomorrow - will wait if any other ideas come up, and to be honest am too annoyed to do it now!0 -
If you have all your songs in iTunes, you've got nothing to lose. Wipe it clean and start again.0

forgot to explain that i have had problems before with my computer which meant me losing about 200 songs from library - they are still on ipod but not found in library - thanks anyway!0 -
Ah, I see. There are programs you can get to copy songs from your iPod onto your computer such as YamiPod:

Maybe it'll see the songs and let you copy them over before you wipe it.0
