Search function

Is there any way of sorting out the search function so that two or more terms can be searched successfully? I posted on freebies, a stress management information guide - and no results were found unless I searched for stress - which of course came up with lots of results - in family and home, and old style etc - I also posted singstar party, but had to search singstar, although I knew another singstar party deal had been posted, using two temrs yielded no results.
Sorry of this sounds garbled, have had sever lack of sleep this weekend and just flew home this morning...

Did you try just searching on the one forum? There is a search link on each board so if you know the board posted on it should come up on there, remember not to use capitals0

Doh! You know, I never noticed the 'search this forum' button before.... I always used the search at the top which isn't nearly as good.... you can only search one term at a time successfully.
Although I would still say the search at the top should be changed - because what you are searching for might be in shop but don't drop and not grabbit (or whatever)0 -
When I did a "search this forum" on the credit card forum earlier I got this ...Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 16 bytes) in /home/forums/html/includes/init.html on line 17

Tried it a couple of times and got the same message so not sure what I did wrong"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Search for a less-used keyword and the search finds your result easily and quickly.
Search for terms that are used too often and it can crash it.
They going to the advanced search and searching for *and - that would probably return an error at busy times
Credit doesn't quite crash it for me right now - doesn't give me any results either.
If you can add more words to refine your search it should help0 -
I'd put in "tesco credit card" when I did the search, which I know has worked in the past when trying to locate a thread I wanted. I found it eventually by checking my subscribed threads"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

I just tried two separate searches (on all forums): one for "Experian" and one for "credit score". They both came up "no results found". Is the facility down for some reason, or am I doing something fundamentally wrong?

I just input experian and came up with loads of results, including this thread so possibly your mistake with that one is using a capital E
edited to add, 500 results of threads with credit score in it0 -
I'm being penalised for correct spelling? Now that's just unfair.
But you're right, I just tried it in all lower case and it works. Crazy...
Thanks.
