I am trying to decide which Credit Card to apply for.

I do not have any existing Cards / Loans etc to transfer balances of
I intend to pay off the balance every month in full
I do quite a lot of travelling (Foreign and UK) every year
I would quite like to have a card that gave cashback or have a reward scheme of some kind (airmiles maybe?)

Does anyone have any ideas for the best card to go for?
I can start looking at all the comparison sites and be positive about finding a suitable card but then I can't choose between those that I've selected and get quite despondant about it!

Any suggestions (within reason!) would be gratefully received

You need to decide if - saving money on actually using the credit card abroad is most important - OR saving money by earning travel related rewards.

Unfortunately, there isn't a credit card without a foreign transaction fee that also offers travel rewards.

Abbey Zero waives foreign transaction and cash withdrawal fees.
The Post Office credit cards have no foreign transaction fee.
Nationwide also waive foreign transaction fees.

As for travel rewards or air miles - your very first question is where you fly to, who do you fly with?

Just to confuse you even more - there are also credit cards that offer free travel services, like free travel insurance (but you often have to either pay an annual fee - or book through a specified travel operator).
