Payphone At Manchester Airport

Hi all. .. wasnt sure where to post this one..

my nephew arrives in to Manchester Airport next week from America, and i'm picking him up, but he'll be there for a couple of hours before i can get there to pick him up, with no money at all, till i get there, ( very long story! ) .. so i had an idea that if he went to 'x' phone at 'x' time i could call him and reassure him and then arrange where to pick him up etc..
as neither of us have ever been to the airport and dont know anything about the parking or pick up proceedure at terminal 2, i thought that would be a good option as a back up.

my question: does anyone know how i would get the phone number for a phone box at arrivals at manchester airport terminal 2?

your help would be much appreciated, as it would make things a lot less stressed if i could speak to him then as i'm on my way to get him, so he knows i'm on my way etc.

How old is he? You could ask the airline about assistance although sometimes they charge for this.

no i live 3 hours drive away. he's 14. it was just an idea. sometimes there's sites that give payhone numbers. anyway yes i guess he can ask if he can reverse charges, but he's not been to the UK before and i didnt want to confuse the issue by asking him to phone me and reverse charges etc .. would have just been very handy..

At 14 he can deffo get assistance from the airline (if it's scheduled, don't know about charter). Phone them up and explain the situation.

If you don't know which airline how do you know it is terminal 2?

my sister told me, she just didnt mention the airline. so i havent looked up the arrival time yet.

Think you'll find they don't allow incoming calls in. not 100% on this, but most don't these days - no money to be made!

I am sure if he was to ask someone at customer services or a help desk if he could use the phone to call you and let you know that he has arrived safely and to let you know where he is they wouldnt mind, afterall he is only 14 years old and from my own experience airports aint the easiest of places to navigate around.
maybe he could just make up an excuse that he aint got no cash on him (for whatever reason) or his battery is dead on his mobile?
a little white lie wouldnt go amiss.....
