I think you should rely on this term:By telling us in writing within 14 days from being told of any proposed change to your terms (including price) which is to your significant disadvantage (see clause 3.2 above). Our contract for the services affected by such change will then end 28 days after you have told us, provided that an alternative supplier has registered with the local metering point administration service in relation to the supply of services to your premises
Yes, you need to tell them in writing. But no hurry, you've got 14 days from receiving notice. I'm not sure what form that notice is needed to be, but I'm sure Sky publishing it on their website is not considered notice. switching supplier takes on average 4-6 weeks, as you've agreed to take both gas and elec with Npower they will notify EDF of this, you should usually have 14 days cooling off period in which to cancel but it does vary with suppliers, the £80 Npower are offer is usually there discount for duel fuel and paying by direct debit which you wont get a sniff of until 12 months with them have passed0
