    It's a great feeling isn't it.

My little spud plants have been in for just a bit longer, maybe three weeks, and they are really going for it. I think they are enjoying this warm weather.

Wonderful Katy! They'll make a wicked Xmas dinner!

It reminds me of the first time I planted potatoes. I was so impatient that after about 2 weeks I decided the nothing was happening and to give them up as a bad job. Went on holiday for a fortnight and came back to a small jungle!

Yesterday morning I noticed the two spruts had grown back through the soil, I left them outside all night and came back to them this morning to water and found 7 yes 7 little spruts!!:j :j

You can only see 5 on this picture, the other two I saw peeking from under the soil!;)

    Way to go me!!!:T

So do I need to leave them in the pot for around 10-20 weeks??? I dont know how long!!

I know I need to wait till the flowers have died and the leaves have wilted!!!

Do I need to let the spruts grow more then just bank up the soil rather than covering them???

    Thanks Katy x x

They were out of a bag of shop bought potatoes, on the bag it says 'ESTIMA' so that might be the variety:confused:

I've been watering everyday, not done this morning though as we have had a down pour, I've left them outside for the past two nights.

I'm sure they grew loads yesterday!
I checked them in the morning and they we all curled up, came back in the afternoon and they had grown leaves!!!:T :T (or is that what happens)

I feel like a kid in a sweetie shop for the first time:p
