Cex Cheque Received Unpaid

Just a warning to anyone who is thinking of trading in mobile phones, games or electronic equipment with the company called cex Limited. I have just received a cheque from them which has been "bounced". Payment Prevented Insolvency Act Proceedings. So be warned!

thanks for this spike
apart from my "no cash in the shop" post has anyone else got corroboration of their possible insolvency?
If so perhaps Martin should post a warning about them before anyone else uses or posts their goods to them0 -
18 CEX shops are franchises... therefore it may only be one branch that is in receivership - it may be worth talking to the main head office as the bad press about their cheques could be damaging to all franchisees also to potential franchisees interested in taking on a shop ! http://www.cex.co.uk/franchising/ which branch is it ?
