Emailing photos

I've got some photos on a CD that I need to send in an email, but I can't do it! The photos are on a Fuji Viewer cd, and I'm struggling to save them to my pc. I click on the 'Install to hardisk' tab and it brings up a box asking me to select a folder to save them to, I select one and click ok but nothing happens. I managed to save a couple by editing them then when closing the photo it asks if I want to save the chages. But I've only managed to save 2, the others just say 'drawing failed'. Once I have managed to save them how do I email them? I only seem to be able to get 1 photo per email.

Thanks.

  • What email account are you using? Some have restrictions on the size and amount of photos you can attach.

You might find it easier to put the photos on something like yahoo photos and just send the link. http://login.yahoo.com/config/login?.src=ph&.done=http%3a//uk.photos.yahoo.com/ph//my_photos&.intl=uk I believe its unlimited storage and free :-) The upload tool is pretty quick.

Alternately something like https://www.photobox.co.uk has storage which you can send out invites for people to view.

If you insert the cd into the drive and then double click my computer, select the drive with the cd in and click explore. There should be a folder with the photos in it. Just then select the folder and right click the mouse key. Select 'send to' and 'my documents'. This should then transfer them to your harddrive in 'my documents' folder.

Once in there you can send them easily by email (if running XP) select the photo and then click on the left hand menu 'send via email'.

Obviously what Number 6 says still stands too.

Most photos are saved as jpegs.

Search the cd using the windows search facility for all files with the following extensions

    *.jpg
    *.jpeg

copy them all to My Pictures on your hard disk
Your photos should now be in that folder.
Post, if you get this far.

    Ok try this...

Insert the CD into your PC and if auto start appears just click cancel..

Now open Windows Explorer, Onced opened navigate down to the CD in the
left hand task pane should look similar to below Piccy..

    explorer1111.jpg

Now when you have clicked here you might have to expand the CD by clicking on the + sign (look at the picture again for this symbol) see it ok now that you clicked on it you should see all your pictures appear in the Right pane.

Now Click on one Picture File in the right pane so its just highlighted
the select, Edit Select All, then Edit Copy to Folder, at this stage select the folder you want to copy to i.e My Pictures, then select copy..

Remember you can create new folders in Widows Explorer, Open Windows Explorer, Click on My Documents, then File, New Folder, When Highlighted just give it a name relevant to what you want to put in that folder..

If you didnt rename a new folder you can always right click the folder called "New Folder" and choose rename...

So Ok you have copied the images to a new folder within My Documents.

Open Outlook Express if thats your email program and then start to compose a new email, then choose, Insert File Attachment, and navigate to the folder that holds your pictures and click on the first file you see then hold down the shift key then a UP or Down arrow key and this will select al the pictures, then click attach..

Dont forget some Internet Service Providers have a limit on how many megs
you can send over there service (megs = file size/s) see your ISP documentation.
