Lloyds TSB automated letters!

Have to vent somewhere so thought why not here!
I keep getting automated letters from my bank telling me they've tried to contact me about one of my accounts which I know they haven't as I'm at home all day and I've never once received a call from them. The letter goes on to ask me to contact one of the managers at the branch (they give me a name) which then means that they get to cheap out on a phone call that I then have to pay for...how cheap of them is that????
I've been getting these letters for going on 18 months now and I have called them about it in the past (all they're for is to try and flog me a loan which I neither want nor need!) and when receiving the last 4-5 of these identical letters I have called them up and told them to stop sending them as I'm not interested. Everytime I call and tell them to stop they tell me they have put a note on the system and I shouldn't receive them anymore and yet they keep on coming!!!
Where do I stand on a harrassment basis with this because it's really really starting to tick me off?

Keep them for a month, put them in an envelope addressed to the bloke/bird at the branch, stick it in the box with no stamp.

Make sure you cut out your name and address first
It's taken me years of experience to get this cynical

4 to 5 letters in 18 months is hardly harrassment, however, you should not be getting them if you have requested that.

Contact your branch and ensure that they load a 'no marketing indicator' on your account, which should ensure that you don't receive any sales phone calls, letters, texts or emails.
Whilst my posts do not constitute financial advice, I am always, without fail, 100% right! :D

Sounds like some automated system has a bit of a bug in it. Companies do not like sending out letters .. they consider that to be an expensive option and will try to contact you by phone (much cheaper) .. so it doesn't make sense. I would wonder if the system has a flag that says you will accept contact by letter but not be phone, whereupon after a predetermined time of non-contact it automatically sends out a badly worded letter.
