Nectar Credit Card from American Express

Apologies if this has already been covered, I am a new poster and have searched the board but can't find anything on this card.
Having been referred there by Rpoints, my cashback scheme, if I successfully apply for a card I should get 2500 Rpoints, worth £25. In addition to this, I should get 1 Nectar point for every pound I spend, or 2 Nectar points per pound if spending at "participating Nectar sponsors". If 1 nectar point is worth a penny if I spend it in sainsbury's (which I probably would if I got this card), at effectively 1% cashback + £25 from Rpoints, this appears to match up to the best credit card for purchases from American Express Platinum or Blue.
Am I working this out right? What do other moneysavers think? Or has this been covered on the board elsewhere?
Any help appreciated!
