A departure from the norm of PC problems, I've got a question regarding my phone. I did the thing everyone dreads - accidentally left it unlocked in my pocket. When I finally looked at it, it had managed to do various things, silenced my ringtone volume, stopped it vibrating, and for some reason underneath where it says 'Vodafone UK', it says 01749. A quick google revealed that it is the area code for a village around 11 miles away. I'm guessing that its not a coincidence, but I'm still worried as to the effect. Will my calls be costing more?
I'm on Vodafone, pay as you go, and rarely use it except to call my family, but still, a fix would be nice. I can still make and receive calls, though think that I may have locked the handset with a pin (Weather I did this accidentally while in my pocket or when I first got the phone then forgot the pin, I don't know. But a reset is out of the question).
Other than that, its a Sharp GX17.
Thanks in advance ^^

So you've locked the phone accidently and it requires a pin to unlock it,No Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20

01749 is not a problem as its just telling you what area you are in .
All you have to do is go into the settings of your mobile and pick what ring tones you want and put the vibrate back on .0 -
Hi,
I've managed to fix most of the problems such as the lack of ring tone (And the phone isn't locked, just things like the master reset and security settings which I don't foresee using).
And how do I stop it showing the area code? Its not done it before, and I can't see an option in the phone settings.0 -
it'll be under "cell broadcasts" or "information broadcasts" or something similar in your messages settings
whats the make/model of your mobile?....showing the area code wont have any effect on your calls etcWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -
