Its not because of putting the iron somewhere, its because the steam needs to be released through the metal mesh on the ironing board (if you know what I mean?)

Mine has a normal cover but if you look underneath its not solid metal, its like metal mesh.

I'm just using my usual solid ironing board and it's working fine. The ironing board cover does get slightly moist but not enough to make the clothes wet. I would just give it a go with your normal board (and the steam generator bit on a table next to the board) and see how you get on before you go out and buy a new board.

I LOVE my new iron :T
  • i got an invite and paid on the 5th/6th Sept (money has been taken out), im still waiting for a tracking number and iron ...is anyone else in the same boat?
    i want my new iron....now :j

I'm just using a very ancient solid ironing board (cheap as chips hardboard type from Wilco) and like chattykat I'm finding that its doing the job beautifully - no need to spend out on a new one. ;)

It's nothing to do with Tier as you asked in your previous post, it's based on your profile questions and any qualifying survey. In this case, it seems they're looking for families to test the product.

I would have thought that they would want families to get it to but i'm a married Mum who obviously doesn't iron in Bzz's eyes (oh how i wish i didn't). Maybe they have gone off age this time?

I'm 23 on a Tier 2 with an early invite and haven't had anything.

I probably wouldn't have taken up this offer anyway though, i wouldn't personally want to pay for something to test it for a company, especially after a lot of lucky people got the coffee machines for free earlier this year i would have jumped at the chance of that one!

  • Mine arrived today. Paid for saturday so not bad at all. I had asked for it to go to my work address 'cos I knew no one would be home but despite confirmation of my work address on the campaign page it still went to home. Luckily my neighbours were in.

Anyway, it seems a great bit of kit and not as big as I'd imagined. A bargain for £20 and i'm sure i'll be bzzing loads about it.
