  • Didn't expect to get offered any more trials after only submitting 1 bzz report for the danone trial, but got invite to the phillips 1 on Sunday, iron arrived today and I've done first lot of ironing with it.

I work in a laundry using industrial grade irons and boards, and this iron is almost as good. Didn't notice any water drops on underside of the board and it's only a cheap 1 from Argos!

Just a quick question, how many bzz reports do you think is acceptable for one of these trials?? I thought that I would try and do about 2 day... do you think that is enough?

    2 a day is loads.

the say on the website to try and do 3 a camapaign but obviously as many as you can do is best

    I got mine yesterday. :j

It is a really good iron. Was worried about the noise after comments on here, but I don't think it's that bad at all. A few vibration noises from the boiler system every now and then but apart from that I wouldn't consider it particually noisy? I do think it would benefit from a decent ironing board though? Mines a few years old, think I paid about £8 in homebase yrs ago
and it's on its 4th cover (and last legs! :o ). I can definately notice a difference around the edges as opposed to the middle area which has more wear? I wouldn't even dare put the steam system on it! It would probably tip over! Its something I keep meaning to replace anyway so now I have an incentive! lol.

  • I previously asked but did not get an answer: From your experience (I have only done the Activia campaign so far), how long after the original batch of invites were sent out, have other people been invited to join the campaign?
  • It's been ages from the Activia campaign to this one. Try updating your profile to see if there's something you missed, or your family/circumstances have changed. It may work but I'm not 100% but I think you must have to meet a certain criterior, like I have two children or earn a certain amount. I hope this helps and perhaps someone more informed than I can confirm this.

Thanks for this. Can't believe that I had forgotten to update my profile to show that I now have a baby, I've done it on all my other survey sites. Fingers crossed that I hear something now.

The only one I can comment on is the Activia campaign. My mum got invited to this campaign ages after me. In fact I think there was only a few days left to run on the vouchers, when she received them!
An email I received yesterday did say they still had invites to send out.

  • Hi all
I was very surprised to get invited to the campaign too, as I'd only done the razor, hated it and didn't bzz it at all (although I did do the post-survey questionnaire explaining). Looking at your posts, I think I was invited v late, on the 12th, but I accepted on the 16th and it came yesterday.
Wow, am I impressed - a week's ironing for 5 adults very quickly, and much less effort required too. I did have to fill it up twice though, and wonder if this is because I left it on when I was moving things up the board?

    Cheers

  • We managed to pay the £20 using my MILs credit card :D

Only problem is that they put the wrong house number on the parcel.
Seeing others posts i checked DHL website & saw it said they had tried to deliver it but we weren't in & they left a card.
We were in & had no card so DH called DHL who said the courier had tried to deliver it to 4A instead of 40A but she'd put a not on it & it'd be delivered the following day.

Next day nothing but saw on the website he'd tried to deliver it again to 4A & left another card

DH called DHL again, the lady said he should have come to us as she'd put a note on the parcel. So we're still waiting for the iron, its supposed to be coming today & he's supposed to ring us when he's here.

I just want my iron lol, so much hassle just to get it.
Should have got it a week ago.
