Just a word of advise for some of you still awaiting your irons.... Do any of you have addresses that dont show up on sat nav or auto route? The DHL driver assigned to me has been trying to deliver my iron for past few days and couldn't find the address as it doesnt come up using new fangled devices. The driver told me today he had taken it to two other addresses before finding me today after stopping someone in the street for directions, he had to ask occupiers name to confirm they were wrong addresses how cheeky some people are trying to get something for nothing, shows not all drivers are drop it and run blokes after all.

  • I know what you mean about the steam. Do you leave the steam setting on all the time? My seems to drink water. The steam actually caused drops of water to form on the underneath of the ironing board :(

    It's a bargain for 20 pounds tho

im an ironing lady for a living and i know some people actually use special boards with their steam generators that have a suction function to help suck the water away from the under side of your ironing board. so it doesnt surprise me that you say you're getting water dripping everywhere. some people have to put towels on the floor to soak up the puddles!!
What matters most is how well you walk through the fire
  • OMG I took delivery of my Iron today and literally Ironed everything in the bloody house, I drew the line at knickers but god I was tempted!! I have to say I absolutley LOVE this product, I did my weeks Ironing in about 2 hours!
We even took 'the dreaded husbands shirt' out of the wardrobe where it has hung for 6 months because it is just a nightmare to Iron and within about 2 minutes it looked like we just bought it!!

  • Haven't had chance to try it yet , visitors etc..
Will do all mine tomorrow after taking my son to school.
While in argos tonight i had a look to see how much the iron was.£129.99 reduced to £99 so def a bargain for £20.
I bought the ironing board mentioned earlier it's huge. Had trouble releasing the legs took two of us. If it does that tomorrow it will be going back.
Shame we couldn't have trialled an ironing board too..
  • Just a quick question, how many bzz reports do you think is acceptable for one of these trials?? I thought that I would try and do about 2 day... do you think that is enough?

  • My iron was left with a neighbour yesterday. I didn't even know they had tried to deliver as DHL didn't leave a card!

I was surprised how big the box was!

I have done my first load of ironing tonight and it is totally fab. Luckily I already had a big ironing board but the cover was a bit thin, so I have stuck a towel under the cover. You really do only have to iron one side of the garment and it's done.

At first, I was leaving the steam button locked on and there was lots of steam going everywhere. Then I realised it was eaier to just flick the steam button on and off each time I picked up the iron.

My ironing pile went down in half the time and I am actually looking forawrd to the next pile of ironing..how sad is that! I hope the novelty doesn't wear off too soon:rotfl:
Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j
  • I haven't started mine yet, but going to do it tomorrow after I've downloaded the instructions from the website.
I didn't have any in with the iron. Did anyone else?
