I do like different types of cheese and graze type meals, so they should be ideal for me. And the walk to the big supermarket to fetch them should burn off the calories:)

    Hi there,

I recieved my veet today but im unsure if mine is faulty or designed that way because i have never used it before either.

With the arm/leg refil, is the rollerball meant to be stiff (as in not roll when u flick it cold) but the underarm rollerball rolls when cold. Does that make sense? lol.

Unsure if its actually designed that way until you heat it up and then it glides on and rolls.

Also when heating it, there is no packaging to remove right? So is it ok to just put in the holder with that veet sticker on the side left there.

Yes, when it warms up the roller bit starts to turn. Mine took 35 minutes to reach the correct temp.

From the reviews I've read on Amazon and from other Bzz Agents you need to heat the wax for the full 40 minutes - those who didn't have had the biggest problems. Apply in direction of hair growth (usually downwards on your leg), smooth strip over wax, again in direction of hair growth (do this several times to make sure its properly stuck or you won't get all the hair off) and then rip off FIRMLY AND QUICKLY against direction of hair growth (up towards your knee). Beware of using it on your bikini line as I've seen several reports of bruising and/or bleeding in this area from using the wax. A few have had bruising from doing it on their legs but I have a feeling this is down to poor technique. Make sure the strip of wax is not longer than the paper strip or you will have to be going over some bits twice, painful!

I am dreading trying the Veet as I am pregnant and it's going to hurt more, and also as my friend knows someone who tried it for the Amazon Vine programme and the wax would not come off her leg so she had to go to a salon to have it removed...yikes!!!!

i am a beauty therapist so completely used to waxing. i found it brilliant. its so quick and easy. i did my legs in 15 mins and only used one wax strip! normally i use a wax pot and get in a right mess! just remember to pull off quick and like some one else said, make sure you stretch the skin to stop bruising. yes if you havent waxed before your skin will be red and look like a plucked chicken!

For those with wax stuck on your legs - lightly press a used strip onto the pink wax and pull away. I got most off this way. Any that remains though......baby oil :o) Lather it on and rub into the waxy bits and it soon comes off. Takes a couple of minutes but it works. hth
