  • I've signed up for this :j

Do you have to buy a special steam generator ironing board costing £30+ or will a £15 argos jobby do?
  • I would regard it almost as theft, what people have done....I'd have loved a coffee maker....to USE. Those members should be traced and banned. Still no whiff of an iron. I'm tempted to send a nice email, seeing if they'll include me.

Ember they said invites are still going out so fingers crossed for you
as for OP that neighbour had signed for phone the plod hun thats theft if dhl have said she accepted and signed for it also all of you complaining about paying £20 for this dont accept it as a family on low income £20 for an iron like this is a dream for us as we have to do with a £5 tesco one that lasts about 6mnths so dont accept also i have some CHEESE to go with your whine if u need.
  • Apparently DHL are gonna check with the Driver on Monday as to whether it was left at her address or just someone saying they were my neighbour. She just said "I wouldn't sign for something with my own name if Iwas gonna pinch it"! which I can sort of agree with, but obviously someone has used her name. Just glad I paid with a Credit Card as they can also get involved if there is a dispute.
I may have lupus but it doesnt make me useless! I am a true believer in Karma, and am a typical cancerian. I have a hard outside, but am mushy on the inside.:o

I SO hope to get invited. I did send them an email though anyway, before reading this post.

I have a Tesco Value iron, which cost £4.97 and is pretty crap. But the logic is, you say it lasts 6 months (I've had mine less than that so cannot comment), and it costs £4.97, so you need to buy at least 2 per year, meaning that's almost £10, so this investment would be worth it.
  • Gosh, that is really awful isn't it. Sometimes I wish couriers would just leave a card to rearrange delivery as I always feel bad going to collect something from a neighbour as nine times out of ten its not next door but someone I don't know up the road!

I'm not sure but I think a CC transaction needs to be over £100 to have any protection but I'm sure someone will be along to clarify.

Have you contacted Bzz? Hope you get it sorted really soon xx
  • I once had a brand new laptop left for me at some random person's house...I was SO nervous!!

Well I used my iron for the first time this morning and aklthough quite noisy I've gotta say it's brilliant. Why did I never buy one before? I really only did iron one side of tops, brill for DDs which have logos and pics on that you cant iron. I loved it so much I even ironed DD duvet cover just cos it was so easy. Usually my arm aches after an hour of hard ironing, but with this its so effortless! Cant wait to tell everyone I know about it! (Sad I know but when you're at home all day you get easily pleased;))
