For all those lucky enough to get the epilator, I have been using one for years. I do my legs, which are now bald in spots (which has to be an advantage, oh for completely bald legs), and I do my underarms. It does get massively easier, but one thing I used to do (don't need to anymore) is do it immediately after a bath/shower when the skin is warm, this does make it less painful.
It is not in the least bit painful for me anymore, and if you exfoliate your legs regularly you do not get ingrowing hairs.
It is worth persevering with the underarms - my underarm hair is getting a lot more sparse than it used to be!
I envy you - this has to be the buzz I really wanted the most out of the lot. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

I agree on this one! I used my mom's epilator during christmas for my underarm, and even after less than a month, I could see the difference!2011 Wins: Issey Miyake perfume (from December), Arcancil Nail Polishes, Revlon Fire and Ice Lipstick and Nail Polish, Beauty Hampers, Radox Shower Gels, Neal's Yard Massage oil & Massage Candle, CDs, makeup kits, tanning mist.

Well I did my legs for the second time last night (3 days after the first go) and it was SOOOOOOO much better, nowhere near as painful as the other night. I even went into bikini line territory and that was ok. Still not done armpits yet, I'll gradually get brave enough for that! Just wondering for the girls who have tried armpits, did you keep the same attachment on as for the legs or did you put the smaller one on? I know the smaller one is forunderarms but wondering if you kept the one with the razor on and thats why it hurt?0

I tried both (wasn't sure which to use). My sister used the regular head on hers (she's trialling it too weirdly although we don't live together so no epilator parties here lol) and she found that it didn't hurt at all! I think on some people it doesn't but it definately hurt me way too much!Never give up the dream! :beer:0 -
the trick with underarms i have used is a bit at a time. So i shave off 3 quarters of the hair and epillate the rest off. It still hurts but way less. I do that every time and eventually you don't need to shave as so few grow back. The hard part is resisting the razor as it seems to encourage growth and you have to start the process again. As for the braun trial it is far less painfull then my last epillator and my legs have stayed smooth for 4 days so far.0

Well, I finally managed to get to the post office to pick up my parcel today
As soon as I came home from work this evening, I opened the package and literally ripped open the box inside because I was really looking forward to using it tonight so wanted to charge it quickly. But.... I can't use itI don't have a shaver plug socket or an adaptor!!
I'll see if I can buy one cheap somewhere, but it means having to postpone using it even more. Can't believe it!0 -

I had about two days when I did mine, I think it would have got more painful if I'd persevered and done all of both legs rather than just my shin and calf on one but I just found it took so much longer than shaving that I couldn't be bothered. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
