Halifax And The Credit Crunch

HI, I just wondered if anyone has had the same experience as me I have a moneyback account with the halifax and my overdraft has been 3900.00 for the past 4 years with the interest rate only 6% on the overdraft. without even a warning they have lowered the overdraft and now its only 50 quid!! when I rang they said i never used it which is rubbish I spoke to a manager who hinted they were doing it to get people to spend on their credit cards !!! so then ive obviously gone over and got a charge of 28 quid which i complained about and they assured me i wouldnt be charged. how bad is that??? im thinking of swapping now anyone would give me more than that wouldnt they??

very crafty. I suspect they also hope that you won't move banks. Aren't first direct doing a £100 intro to go with them?

I've had a large £3k overdraft, which I have never been close to using. Will keep an eye on it and see what happens.

i know, im so peeved im going into branch on monday for a rant ill threaten them with swapping!! see what i can get out of them.
