How do I get sound off my Video?

I have a DVD concert and would like to record just the sound so I can listen to the concert in the car/Mp3 player does anyone know how to do this, it was easy with VHS but baffling with DVD/CD? Is there some software I need?

THIS is a program that records whatever sound is playing through your pc. It will do what you ask though whether what you suggest is legal I am not sure so if a mod sees this they may decide to remove it.

The program is completely legit - it is just what you do with it. Seems daft that if you buy a concert dvd you can't listen to the audio elsewhere but I think that may be the case

do exactly same you did with vhs,

connect the audio output from dvd player to the pc and use the software you did before

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ This will let you grab the sound of the film aswell.

VirtualDub is also great for splitting audio and video! (Or either!)

Also that is freeware too! Google it.....
