intrum justitia [again]

Hi,
I took out some online web hosting a couple of years ago, I think it was about £7.00 per year for a domain name. I never used it and forgot all about, the monies were originally taken from a credit card which expired last year. at the same time I also changed web supplier and a new email.
The company Strato couldn't contact me anyway they seem to have passed on the debt to intrum justitia in Berlin. Today i received a letter from Germay asking me to cough up 37 Euros by the 1st August. I'm annoyed because i never entered into a long standing contract with strato and I wrongly thought they would just cancel the account.
Intrum justitia have given details of an account to pay the money into, however if I pay via my HSBC account i'll also get charge some silly amount for doing a foreign transfer.
To be honest if I could do it online I would just to get them off my back and then at least i'd get some electronic proof of payment.
Can anyone who has had similar dealings offer any suggestions.
Thanks

You probably did, it states on their front page "The contract periods renew for periods respective to the standard contract period (12months) if not terminated with a notice period of a month before the end of the respective term"0 -
I have had a letter from Strato too - similar thing but asking for £53.51.
I am really annoyed at the slightly dodgy tactics of this company...
Anyway - does anyone know if I can insist on paying by cheque to their local office (trafalgar square as on their letter) ?
They want me to pay into their bank but I dont ant foreign currency charges..
Thanks - help needed!!
