Another laptop question please help!!!!!!!!!

Options
My daughter is after a laptop and we've narrowed it down to 2 . A Toshiba with an AMD Athlon 64 x 2 processor (or Turion x 2 ) for about £360 or a Sony with a Pentium dual core processor for about £400 . Not bothered about which make we buy , just wondering if the AMD processor is as good as the Pentium . Any help would be appreciated , thanks

Intel is better than AMD at the moment. Either will do the job though.

I've used a variety of machines, and honestly I could not tell you what's in each machine unless I look at the label.

However, I've found Sony to be more reliable, and screen clearer, and the layout and design far superior - but that's a personal thing.

I'd swing the choice on what sort of warranty you get with it.

Just don't touch Lenovo, what ever you do. The pre installed software is warranted for only 3 months, and I could go on....

The orginal post in this thread has a very very slim chance of being about money saving. The post is more than likely to ask a question that google could answer better than any of us.
