Was in my local Tesco today and they have "Guinness World Records 2006" for sale at £8.97. You also get a free book entitled "The Best gross world records". The rrp on this book is £18 as it states on the back and the cheapest I have seen it at was £12.99 on Play.com. I bought one as a stocking filler for my 11 year old son, although with all the bargains I keep finding on this site he will need a rather large stocking!!

Good find hunnybugs1. I was going to get this for my son and I think the cheapest I found was £12.99 too. Isn't the free book meant to be £8.97? Maybe they are scanning the wrong 1!If you always do what you've always done...
you'll always get what you've always gotten0 -
Very good find. Because of the weight of the book its always worth buying it in the shops rather than online due to the high postage costs. I think everyone gets one for Christmas. Always a good choice if your stuck for something to buy.
If your interested in collecting these books like me check out https://www.guinnessbookcollecting.co.uk0 -
These books are great but tight as I am I wait until new year and in previous years have managed to get them for only £1.00 from Waterstones beleive it or not.. They are normally reduced in February of the year.0

Even better - if you go to bol via the Quidco cashback link you get £12 cashback [update - now only £5 cashback still enough to cover the first book if it's £4.59 ]- so you can buy the Guiness Book of Records 2006 for £4.59,(with £3 off voucher) buy a second book (to fulfil your membership obligation) and still end up making a profit! (or being paid to buy the books!)
They have lots of cheap clearance books from £1.39 - if you need an idea for your 2nd book - see this thread : http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=101691"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the

Thanks just orderd one0 -
Just ordered a copy of the Guiness Book of World Records from BOL - plus several other books, good job Christmas is coming otherwise my family would wonder why I was buying them so many bits and bobs - used Quidco, but couldn't use the £3.00 BOL voucher - have emailed them and hopefully they might apply it for me - wish me luck! Oops - thanks very much for the tip!
Have just received email from BOL and they will credit my account with the £3.00 - jolly good.
Checked my account on Quidco however and only £5.00 credited - apparently BOL have changed the amount they are paying. Emailed Quidco and apparently they are changing screen to show correct amount of £5.00, but very decently have credited my account with the additional £7.00 as apparently BOL offer has brought in lots of new business and they don't want my first experience with them to be disappointing. So beware Quidco are now only paying £5.00 for BOL click throughs.GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Many thanks for this, I have just ordered a copy for my son total cost..... GBP 4.59 using the link for the voucher - no post and packing charge -
:money: FANTASTIC!!0
