I keep getting e-mails+virus purporting to be from Administrator@xxxxxxxxxxx.co.uk which is my own e-mail address. I'm behind a wireless/router, Norton firewall/AV updated, Ccleaner, Adaware, Spybot, Spyware blaster etc. How can I stop these? Norton cleans the virus but I would like to prevent them in the first place.

Where to begin?
You are more than likely being spammed. Even though it's your 'own' address it's coming from, this is not terribly difficult to fake. It's called 'spoofing' and with a little know-how you can make an email appear to have come from anyone. Good eh?
A few questions before we go any further:
Which email client are you using (Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird)?
How is the virus reinfecting your system? Presumably you're not opening dodgy attachments on purpose?
Do you get the name of the virus when Norton/spybot/whatever cleans it? The may help. If you can find the name, take a look on McAfee's web site and search the virus database for details about it and its removal.
Any other info you could provide would be helpful too.
I am monitoring this post, but am at work - so the response may be a bit slow. There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences. - P.J. O'Rourke0 -
I think the probs solved. Nortons cleaned/quarantined the virus before it was downloaded completely so did not infect comp. I don't open any attachments unless I'm expecting them. I'm using Pocomail and I am able to ban any mail from the specific person i.e. mail@xxxxxxx.co.uk and still leave my important ones to come through. The virus is Beagle and its variants. Thank you for looking into this.
