Yes you can fill in a P38, as long as you definately won't get another job after this.
Are you sure you filled in a P46?
Thankkksss Lokolo & Bigdaddy....
Yes, filled in a P46 since I didn't have a P45 to attach to the contract they made. Have emailed the admin to see if this P38 can be done.... fingers crossed!0 -
Hello,
I am an architecture student, currently on a year of industry placement, that I am finishing this month to continue my studies in September. Does anyone know if I am entitled to any tax refund as a full time student? ie. I have been a registered student with my university for the duration of the year.
Thanks.0 -

If your job started part way thru one tax year and finished in another, then there is a chance you may overpay tax, only because your full years tax free allowance may not have been utilised. This is on the assumption you did not workprior to, or after the work placement.0 -

How much have you earnt from April - finishing? And are you going to have another job whilst back at university?0 -
April 1 - Aug 15 i think i will have earned £10,166.66 gross, £ 7647.86 net. I'm in London, on top of living costs, I just couldnt believe how much NI and PAYE was!
No I didnt work in the financial year before placement, and I don't intend to work returning to uni, I won't have time!0 -

Ro2 , how much did you pay in tax and how much in NI? It would certainly seem like you have paid too much, but on the assumption you will not work again for the remainder of this year.0
