Can I switch?

I've recently moved into a brand new property and due to various problems, my estimated gas bill may not be here for another 3 months and my electricity account should be set up any day.
I have my electricity supplier id and my gas MRN - can I realistically expect to switch using USwitch or similar, without encoutering huge hitches?

I've switched suppliers as soon as I've moved into property, just means you are stuck with the existing supplier to the home until transferred.
With a new build, doesn't that mean you had to find a supplier to begin with yourself? It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -
Only if you're building it yourself....With a new build, doesn't that mean you had to find a supplier to begin with yourself?
Most if not all developers will have supplies laid on to all their properties, usually from a supplier with whom they've struck a good deal for themselves...so don't expect it to be a good deal for the customer."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100
