    Hi

Here it is, under Healy's link:

    Permitted work

    Incorporating changes from April 2006.
Permitted work allows ... etc etc
There are several types of permitted work:
    1. Permitted work lower limit

This is work for an umlimited period and for an unlimited period of hours but earning less than a set limit per week - currently £20
    2. Permitted work higher limit (52 weeks limit)

Work for less than 16 hours a week for up to 52 weeks. (Used to be 26 weeks with a further 26 weeks extension).

I still can't find out if the £20 / week can be rolled over to weeks where nothing is "earned".

As far as I am aware, the £88.50pw, £20pw or 'the less than 16hrs pw' are fixed and are not averaged. If they could be averaged, it would be mentioned on the DWP website.

Provding the OP stays within the PW rules-earnings & hours-they will be ok.

    Hi
I rang the JobCentrePlus this morning and asked. The £20 /week cannot be averaged, but the person I spoke to suggested I ask the market research company to post the payment to me in 3 separate instalments, over 3 weeks. They were happy to do this, so I'll keep a note of it and write to the JCP with details.
    Thanks to all who contributed.
