Material breachs of ICOB happen everyday with insurance companies, yet despite the mulitude of ranting emails nothing seems to have been done. What does that suggest to you?
If a persons car had set on fire 5 times in 5 years for example, then I'd certainly consider it entirely relevent if they wanted insurance for a house with a garage.0 -
You appear a little confused - " material breaches of ICOB" ???? Perhaps you could explain.
The relevent FSA rules are under ICOBS 8.10 -
I which case you would need to ask a clear question at proposal...otherwise the FSA regime ( which of course you freely admit is breached all the time by Insurers even in 2008 - might explain the collapse of Independent Insurance and other Insurers).
Tonome - give the Insurer a call and ask them straight up0 -
Boy, did I open a can of worms!
Think it best to "chuck it all at the insurance people" (as someone says) and let them decide!
Thanks everybody.
