Hiring car seat?

I'm going to Iceland over the New Year and will have a 2 month old baby with me. I'm borrowing a car from a friend I have out there but was wondering if it's possible to hire baby car seats? Tried googling it without much luck. Does anyone know if it is possible and if so where on earth do I start?!!

could you not take your own seat over? I'm sure airlines (or some do at least) allow car seats to be carried in the hold
or does your friend know anyone out there who has a baby that has outgrown a seat you could borrow for however long you are there?0 -
airlines do let you put car seats in the hold, my concern with hiring one is you've no idea of its history, has it been in an accident etc etc - you can check whether your car seat fits your friends car on the manufacturers website to make sure there are no issues, I know it'd be a hassle at the airport but better safe me thinksNorn Iron Club Member #64
