I'm home
but too lazy to start the daily chat today.
Today is the anniversary of my mum's and my nan's death. Usually I make the 2.5 hour each way drive to go up to the grave and put flowers down. But this year I just don't feel up to it. So, I hope they forgive me but I'm just going to nip into town and get some flowers for the house. I do feel as if I should go though, so feel a bit guilty.
other than that, just a quiet day here. Yesterday was reall busy and I feel the need for a chilled out day. That said I need to go into boots and have an argument with the pharmacist. Amber has just been put onto new tablets and her consultant said start week 1 on 10mg a day, week 2 on 20mg a day then from week 3 onwards 30mg a day. So, I got the prescription from the doctor who understood that the correct ongoing dose was 30mg and gave me a prescription for 84 tablets to last a month. I put the prescription into boots, had to wait for them to be ordered. Yesterday hubby went in to collect them, which he did with no problem. Only when I checked they had only given Amber 10mg... 30 tablets with a new repeat prescription for 10mg a day. Grrrr. I am really irritated, they have obviously had a conversation with the doctors surgery who had only half read the notes from the consultant and decided to cut her dose between them, without mentioning it to me.
Flippin heck, it's hard enough dealing with her various problems and getting the medications down her without having bloody chemists messing us around.
Ok rant over :rotfl::A

Hi Toto. Sorry to hear its such a poignant day for you today. Big hugs. I think, given Orlandia Bean, your mum and nan will understnad why you haven't got the energy for the drive. I'm sure it will be enough that you are thinking of them and having flowers in the house in their memory. next year you'll be able to introduce them to their new (great) grandchild;) (i put granddaughter on the basis you've called yhe bean Orlandia but not sure if you actually know its a girl
so changed it:o )
Good luck abusing the pharmacist. if your doctor's surgery is anything like ours its quite often the receptionist who deals with the pharmacist and for some reason they seem to think this gives them 'god' status and the right to interfere/make decisions however they see fit!:mad: on your behalf!!!!26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

I'm here!!! Not getting very far but feel free to chat.
I got so sunburnt on monday. Still feeling the pain LOL.
Today when i get home, am hoping it is still nice. Planted lots of veggie and salad seeds last week and they have grown really well, in fact out of their little seedling pots now and really need to go in the garden - the only problem being that I dont actually have a veggie patch yet. Going to dig up some turf tonight (hopefully) and buy some soil to mix in with it so hopefully it will work. Wont get much this year but at least its a startDFW 228 LONG H 68

Thanks hon, yes the receptionists at the doctors do certainly think they know better than the consultants! Trouble is they scare the life out of me so I'd rather pick the fight with the woman in boots
We do know that we are having a girl. I had a CVS test (bit like an amnio but more horrible) and that told us early on that we had another girl on the way.

Did you ever get any further on the baby name debate Toto? Remember a daily chat with lots of suggestions but can't remember if you said you'd made any decisions yet?Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

At first we decided to wait and see but then we 'argue' because he thinks its a boy but I can only visualise interacting with a girl... Plus planning would be easier if it were a girl
Is it wrong to be half hoping for a girl- mostly 'cos there's so many pretty things for them:rotfl:

OMG red, um NO
it's a nightmare, yesterday hubby and I had a 3 hour conversation where we must have thrown 5000 names at each other. We just can't agree. The problem is, things that are really old fashioned in french are cute and modern here and vice versa. For example... Maude is a very trendy name in montreal... No way on god's earth is any child of mine being called bloody Maude!!
Then we have the kids who are quite vocal about what they don't like, we almost agreed on Amelie but Jasmine absolutely hates it and is showing no signs of coming around. We want the kids to have a say so it looks like that one is out too. Olivia was my Nan's name so that was always a maybe, but it's on hubby's old fashioned list. So that will probably end up a middle name too. My top 5 are Scarlett, Brooke, Rose, Ruby and Olivia which he hates x 5. His are Zoe Genevive, some bloody french version of margaret, magalie and I can't remember the 5th horror.
So, there you go :rotfl::A

I was absolutely hoping for a girl, and i'm sure i would have been a teensy bit miffed if it was a boy... but probably not really.
I got a girl who likes girly pretty things, and yet she still seems to come home filthier than jock the coalman most days...
G reckons she has tomboy tendencies.... i think he may be right!
Erin is already a petrolhead like her mum n dad!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
We've got names for both genders all sorted although they are top secret to the rest of the 'real' world;)
Grace Audrey or Joshua James
