Animal Friends gone quiet?

Hi
The recent changeover of underwriters by Animal Friends caused quite a controversy, and many clients posted their views.
Things seem to have gone quiet now, so does this mean that the changeover has been successful?
Has anyone made a claim under the new underwriters?
regards

Hi Cricket
I've made several posts on this forum to update everyone and to make it clear there is no cause for concern with your Animal Friends policy. The legal injunction we won on 12th July meant we could renew our customers with our new underwriters on same terms as before very simply - just as we had said in our first letter to our customers in fact.
As to claims, customers will now be dealing directly with us at Animal Friends throughout the whole claims process and we shall be making clams payments so your policy will be seamless. I can assure you that our customers will be receiving the very best service should they claim as they do when they call us to buy one of our policies.
Best wishes

Sorry to bump up an old thread but how are people finding Animal Friends Insurance now ?0
-
when i was looking at policies for my elderly, adopted cat I found Animal Friends to be helpful and really courteous and they answered the phone within a couple of rings each time i called. I almost went with them but I was put off their policy by the 35% excess for older pets so went with AXA instead. i recall that a sales person told me that they were in the process of introducing additional policies, with higher premiums and a smaller excess, i was informed these would be available 'within the month', but 8 months later i can't see anything about these new policies on their website.
apart from the high excess, all other aspects of the AF policy look good though. i haven't yet read anything negative about AF since the change in underwriter and I frequent these boards a lot.0
