Hi there I'm in the same boat with a 06/07 tax credits enquiry, received my letter last week.
But it would appear that everyone should have one this season!

just as a matter of interest, if overpayments have been made and they want their money back, how strict are they?
Is it a case of "give it back now" or do they give you time to pay back in sensible amounts?0 -
kaylawendy- we've had a reply from them! I got through on the phone at last on Monday morning and gave the details- then, when I checked our account for something else in the afternoon- they'd made a payment of a few hundred pounds in!!!! On Tuesday morning the payment went in as usual (it's got up a little bit) and this morning our award notices arrived (between hubby and myself we seem to recieve the equivalent of a small forest's worth of trees in paper forms!!!). Drama over! HUGE sigh of relief!
mikeopvc- in the past we've had overpayments and at no time did they suggest that they wanted all the money back in one go. They just reduced our weekly payments by a bit till they got it back.Conquering the debts one penny at a time.....0 -
Any updates?
I have been told it can take up to 4 weeks. I did have an overpayment in 2006 that I re-paid and have a feeling another one is heading my way :mad:0
