Does anyone have any promotional codes for Herts or any other companies car hire.

Want to hire a car for use in Ireland at the weekend so need codes today if any one can help please also do I need to know where they came from?

have posted something similar in the past as I used to work for a car hire company but my advice would be don't use website or call centre but ring the branch that you will be hiring from as they have a lot more room for negotiation on prices. If you don't have the branch tel no ring the call centre and they should be able to tell you.

Also always tell them that X company offered it to you for X pounds less and ask if they would price match for you. they can only say no!!

Also, I used an interesting website for my last hire - called Auto Europe (think the URL is https://www.autoeurope.com)

They are basically a broker that allows reputable car hire firms to discount without affecting their reputation / profile.

Therefore I got a car through Auto Europe, which was, in fact an Autocar rental for about 20% less.

The website is worth a check first!

P.S. Nectar is never really worth anything more than about a 1% 'discount' - if that!

I will be hiring a car for 9 days in Southampton airport in August, have checked out all the usual sites for car hire, and none of them seem too cheap, apart from enterprise, but they dont seem to charge for all the extras until you pick up the car at the desk.

Anyway any of you lovely MSEers have an advice or discount codes for car rentals. I need the car to include a car seat for a 1 year old and also may have to hire a booster seat for my 5 year old as well as it seems to be rental policy for some firms.

Any help apprecaited as always
