Upgrading to a family car - What to choose ?
Our Fiat Punto has nearly died, it was very reliable until recently and it is nearly 10 in dog years anyway.
With 2 small children a large family car sounds appealing but cant afford a new one anyway it needs to be able to hold a double buggy and other endless childrens stuff
So any recommendations for family cars preferably 7 seaters but open to all suggestions. Would like it to last dont like changing unless i have to.
my budget is tight but can be persuaded with the right offer

I can recommend a ford galaxy (although we now have to get rid our ours). Ours has automatic transmission which is great, and the seats are wasy to move about. We had a loan of a zafira for a day, and compared to to galaxy, I didnt feel as safe/protected. zafira felt more like a regular car on stilts, while the galaxy feels more substantial. Only bad thing about the galaxy is that it is a fairly bumpy ride - more like a van than a car.Threadhead0

The Citreon Berlingo has five spacious seats and the car is huge and has loads of room in the back. We bought this because of the space as we have loads of animals with large aviaries and cages which we needed to transport. Would highly recommend, you will not be disapointed,Competitions wins 2010
