                    Hi
Ive got a new house that has gas and electric meters with EDF
i would like to get rid of these, and would also like to swap to british gas probably
Can i swap straight to british gas and they come and de comission the meters or do i need to get edf to do that?
Is there anything i should be aware of

It might be worth asking EDF if they can do it as it'll take 4-6 weeks to switch.
If they say no you can switch and then ask your new supplier. BG will probably credit check you if you havn't been a customer with them before. They may ask for a security deposit, but you'd get that back with interest after a year.
EDF may do the same.
Can't hurt to ask.0 -
Is it a silly question to ask why you don't like the meters? If you switch normally, you don't need to change the meters.0
